News Reporting and Producing
I interviewed community members, wrote scripts, and shot and edited footage while interning in the WVUA 23 newsroom during the summer of 2021. In addition to reporting, I also learned producing skills. I found this position the most important to understand because it teaches students how each role contributes to a show. Digital Reporting
My internship began with new writing opportunities. I started in the digital department by writing stories and creating social media content. I enjoyed learning more about Tuscaloosa and connecting with the community. You can read the articles I wrote by surfing the WVUA23 website below.
